Redskins Add a WR, Reaching Deal With Quick – The Washington Redskins signed Brian Quick on Friday, adding to the team’s depth chart at wide receiver after losing two starters earlier this month. Quick’s agreement was announced by his agents on Twitter and later confirmed by the team. Quick is the second wide receiver to sign with the Redskins in free agency, joining Terrelle Pryor, who signed a one-year contract earlier this month.
Makeover Continues: Colts Release DL Jones – The Colts have released defensive lineman Arthur Jones, the team announced Friday. The move wasn’t surprising, as new Colts general manager Chris Ballard is in the midst of reshaping a defense that finished 30th in the NFL last season. The Colts signed Jones to a five-year, $33 million contract in the spring of 2014 with the expectations he would help improve their run defense. Jones, instead, played a total of 17 regular-season games because of constant injury problems, including missing all of the 2015 season with an ankle injury.
