Ravens Re-Sign Webb To 3-Year Deal – The Baltimore Ravens brought one of their long-time defensive backs back at a reduced rate and a reduced role. Lardarius Webb, 31, was re-signed to a three-year deal by the Ravens on Saturday, according to a source. This comes nearly four weeks after Webb was cut by the team. Webb, who has been with Baltimore the past eight seasons, will back up safeties Eric Weddle and Tony Jefferson and add depth at slot cornerback. Webb had been scheduled to make $5.5 million in base salary this season, which was fifth-most on the team entering free agency. He likely had to take a significant pay cut to come back.

NFL Looking Into Arm Wrestling Event In Vegas – The NFL is looking into an arm wrestling contest that took place last week at the MGM Grand casino in Las Vegas and reportedly featured more than 30 current and former players, including Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison and retired running back Marshawn Lynch. NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy told ESPN on Sunday that the league just became aware of “The Pro Football Arm Wrestling Championship” and will be looking into it further. Participating players could be in violation of the league’s gambling policy and may face fines. League personnel are prohibited from making promotional appearances at casinos or other gambling-related establishments. In addition to Harrison and Lynch, Miami Dolphins receiver Kenny Stills, San Francisco 49ers Navarro Bowman and Oakland Raiders punter Marquette King were reportedly among the players who participated in the contest.
