Highlights: The 40-year-old righty, Bronson Arroyo, gave his best performance yet in his long comeback from elbow problems, pitching three-hit ball over six innings on Sunday, and the Cincinnati Reds salvaged a 7-5 victory . Arroyo worked fast, varied the angles of his deliveries, and kept `em guessing with his minimalist pitches. Arroyo allowed Anthony Rizzo‘s two-run homer, his third of the series, and struck out seven batters for the first time since May 13, 2014.
Chicago White Sox 6 – Cleveland Indians 2
Highlights: Melky Cabrera drove in a pair of runs, Derek Holland tossed six strong innings and Chicago busted out of an offensive funk for a 6-2 victory over the Cleveland Indians. Avisail Garcia and Leury Garcia each added run-scoring hits for Chicago. Francisco Lindor homered for Cleveland, which had its five-game winning streak end. Holland (2-2) allowed one run on three hits in six innings. He walked three and struck out six in lowering his earned run average to 1.99. Indians starter Danny Salazar (1-2) allowed four runs on seven hits in five innings.
Chicago Bulls 95 – Boston Celtics 104
Highlights: Isaiah Thomas scored 33 points, and the Celtics beat the Bulls 104-95 on Sunday to tie their first-round playoff series at 2-all. Gerald Green made four 3-pointers on his way to 18 points. Al Horford added 15 points and 12 rebounds, and the Celtics pulled even in a series that was in danger of becoming a rout. Game 5 is Wednesday in Boston. Jimmy Butler carried the Bulls with 33 points and nine assists. Nikola Mirotic and seldom-used Isaiah Canaan each scored 13 points, but Dwyane Wade finished with just 11.
