Colts Sign Griffey Jr.’s Son, Trey as Free Agent – The Colts have signed undrafted free-agent receiver Trey Griffey, a son of Hall of Fame baseball player, Ken Griffey Jr. The 6-foot-3 Griffey had 23 receptions for 382 yards and two touchdowns last season with the Arizona Wildcats. His best season was in 2014, when he had 31 catches for 405 yards. The Colts, who already feature T.Y. Hilton, Donte Moncrief and Phillip Dorsett at receiver, didn’t select any players at that position during the draft.
Bills Dismiss GM Whaley Amid Playoffs Drought – The Buffalo Bills fired general manager Doug Whaley, the team announced Sunday. The Bills were 30-34 in Whaley’s four seasons as general manager. His only winning season came in 2014, when the Bills finished 9-7 but missed the playoffs. Buffalo’s postseason drought extended to 17 seasons after a 7-9 finish in 2016. The Bills also dismissed their entire scouting staff a day after the draft, with Terry Pegula announcing the decision during a news conference Sunday.
