UPDATE:  Kanter Back in U.S., to Address Media Monday – After being detained in Romania and having his passport revoked, Enes Kanter is back in the United States after landing in New York on Sunday morning, his agent told ESPN. Kanter will hold a news conference Monday at 9:30 a.m. at National Basketball Players Association headquarters in New York. Kanter had been on a world tour for his Light Foundation, doing charity events to provide meals and clothes, and had already made stops in a number of counties. But after a flight from the Philippines to Bucharest, Romania, Kanter was detained by airport officials Saturday and told his Turkish passport had been “canceled.”


Popovich:  Kawhi (ankle) ‘Likely Out’ for Game 4 – On the brink of elimination, the San Antonio Spurs will likely have to play Game 4 of the Western Conference finals without MVP candidate Kawhi Leonard, coach Gregg Popovich said. Popovich told reporters that Leonard is “likely out” Monday with his injured left ankle suffered in the series opener. Leonard has not played the past two games after he aggravated the injury by landing on the foot of the Warriors’ Zaza Pachulia following a jump shot. The team officially lists Leonard as doubtful.


Celtics’ Thomas to See Specialist About Hip – Boston Celtics All-Star point guard Isaiah Thomas will consult with specialists starting Monday to determine the best path to rehabilitate his injured right hip, with one option being offseason surgery. The Celtics announced Saturday that Thomas will not play again this postseason after aggravating a hip ailment. Before Sunday’s Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Thomas’ coach and teammates marveled at how he played through so much pain to get the Celtics this far.
