St. Louis Cardinals 2 – Chicago Cubs 1
Highlights: Miles Mikolas pitched four-hit ball into the seventh inning, and the St. Louis Cardinals beat Jameson Taillon and the Chicago Cubs 2-1 on Sunday. Mikolas allowed one run, struck out five and walked none. The right-hander, who tossed seven scoreless innings on Tuesday night against Pittsburgh, is 3-1 with a 2.76 ERA in his last seven starts. Pedro Pagés hit a two-run homer for St. Louis, which improved to 4-1 against Chicago this season by taking two of three this weekend. Chicago White Sox 5 – Arizona Diamondbacks 12
Highlights: Christian Walker drove in three runs with a home run and a double and the Arizona Diamondbacks routed the Chicago White Sox 12-5 on Sunday. Walker hit a solo homer in the first inning, singled in the third and drove in two more with a bases-loaded double in a six-run fourth inning as Arizona won two of three in the series. With a chance at a cycle, Walker struck out and hit into a double play in his final two at-bats. The Diamondbacks’ Corbin Carroll left the game in the seventh inning after making an awkward throw from center field. Chicago Sky 83 – Indiana Fever 91
Highlights: Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston are finally getting in sync and, naturally, Indiana looks like it finally has a winning combination. The rookie guard overcame yet another physically demanding challenge from Chicago by finishing with 23 points, nine assists and eight rebounds while Boston produced her third consecutive double-double to lead the Fever to a 91-83 victory over the Sky on Sunday. For Clark, it was her best day as a pro. She made 7 of 11 shots, three 3-pointers and, and celebrated her first back-to-back wins of her WNBA career. Marina Mabrey scored 22 points to lead the Sky (4-9), who have lost four straight. Angel Reese had 11 points, 13 rebounds and five assists while Kamilla Cardoso had 10 points and 1 rebounds Sunday.
