Highlights:  Ian Happ homered in the 10th inning, Nico Hoerner had three hits and also went deep, and the Chicago Cubs snapped a four-game skid with a 5-3 win over the San Francisco Giants on Thursday. Happ homered to center off Luke Jackson (4-2) with automatic runner  Cody Bellinger on base. Héctor Neris (7-2) struck out two in a scoreless ninth inning for the win, and  Porter Hodge worked around a first-and-second, no-outs jam in the 10th to complete his first save opportunity. Chicago White SoxAtlanta Braves 0 – Chicago White Sox 1

Highlights:  Luis Robert Jr. homered in the first inning and five Chicago pitchers combined on a three-hitter as the White Sox beat Chris Sale and the Atlanta Braves 1-0 on Thursday.  Sale (10-3) struck out a season-high 11 in seven innings against his original team. The 35-year-old lefty allowed four hits and walked one in a fourth straight solid start. He was touched up only when Robert connected on a low-inside slider for his eighth home run. Chicago SkyLas Vegas Aces 95 – Chicago Sky 83

Highlights:  A’ja Wilson scored 31 points, Jackie Young had 22 and Kelsey Plum added 21 as the Las Vegas Aces beat Chicago 95-83 on Thursday night despite rookie Angel Reese‘s ninth-straight double-double for the Sky. Reece’s 18 points and 11 rebounds tied Candace Parker for the WNBA’s longest streak of double-doubles in a season. Parker did it in 2015 and she had a streak of 12 across two seasons (2009-10). Wilson scored 15 points in the first quarter, Young had 12 in the third and Plum added 16 in the fourth.
